Dr Matthew Tang

Matthew joined the LSF in 2022 as a PhD student undertaking a joint project between the LSF, University of Oxford, and the Rosalind Franklin Institute. Under the supervision of Professor Lin Wang, Matthew completed his PhD with thesis title: “Advancing Super-Resolution Imaging: Innovations for Enhanced Single-Molecule Localisation Microscopy”.

Following his PhD, Matthew joined The Guy Foundation Quantum Biology and Bioenergetics Laboratory at the Central Laser Facility working as a postdoctoral research associate under Professor Stan Botchway. His research interests include: understanding ultraweak photon emission and their role in biology, fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM), single-molecule localisation microscopy, and data analysis.
