Distinctions

Professor of Inertial Fusion Science at Oxford University and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London.

Received the 'Award for Excellence in Plasma Physics Research' from the American Physical Society in 2006 for work in the field of Fast Ignition ICF. He is an Individual Merit Fellow of STFC, and a Divisional Associate Editor of 'Physical Review Letters'.

Peter was a founding member of the PPG in 1997, and led the group from 2001-2015. He joined CLF in 1990.​
