Ultrafast Chemical Dynamics Scientist,​​​​​​ HiLUX Project Lead

Dr Richard Chapman is an ultrafast chemical dynamics scientist working within the Artemis team. He has also taken on the project lead​ for the HiLUX​ upgrade of Artemis and Ultra​. Previously he was responsible for XUV imaging and gas- and liquid- phase atomic and molecular physics experiments on Artemis. 

Richard obtained his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Southampton in 2012, on "Coherent Diffractive Imaging with High Harmonics". He joined Artemis in October 2012 and was promoted to senior scientist in 2016.​​
